After nearly 1500 miles and almost 27 hours of driving, we made it! All is well, and yes, the water is as cold as our expressions reveal.
We were also able to partake in a Maine tradition before our first safety and instructional briefing...when in Maine do as Mainers do!
On a more serious note:
While we are saddened by the reason we are here to ride, we are excited to represent Lake Sumter EMS for this ride. We are also very thankful to everyone who through donations of time, money, and so many other things made this possible. Without you we would not be here.
Tommorrow we take our first ride. It will be a 90 mile trek from Maine to New Hampshire. We will report back on the events of the day.
